Brampton Dentists ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This summary explains how we handle your personal and health information. Your health information is Protected Health Information under Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and Canada's PIPEDA.
We do not collect card or payment information — the app takes no payments; you pay in person at the clinic. If you allow location access, it is used only on your device to suggest the nearest clinic and is never stored or sent to us.
To provide your dental care, book and confirm appointments, send reminders (including 6-month recall reminders), prepare treatment plans, support insurance and CDCP claims at the clinic, and answer your messages. We never use your health information for advertising and never sell it.
We use trusted service providers that act on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy obligations: Google Firebase (account & record storage, hosted in Canada), Twilio (SMS reminders, if you opt in) and an email provider for confirmations and reminders.
Appointment and recall reminders are service messages tied to your care. We send promotional messages only with your express consent, as required by Canada's anti-spam law (CASL), and every message includes a way to unsubscribe. You can change your channels (push, SMS, email) anytime in the app.
You can access or correct your information and delete your account in the app. We delete your profile within 30 days of a verified request; clinical records are retained for the period required of regulated dental professionals in Ontario and then securely destroyed. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or Ontario's Information and Privacy Commissioner.
